Job Title: Building Automation Sales Representative
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Building Automation Sales Representative to drive the growth of our BAS solutions. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building lasting client relationships, and delivering smart, energy-efficient automation solutions tailored to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers. A strong understanding of HVAC systems and building technologies is key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline of new construction, retrofit, and service opportunities in the building automation sector.
- Identify and pursue potential clients including building owners, facility managers, general contractors, engineers, and consultants.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations that demonstrate the value of automation, energy savings, and ROI.
- Work closely with estimators, engineers, and project managers to develop accurate scopes of work and pricing.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell or expansion opportunities.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.
- Stay current with industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor offerings.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Accurately forecast sales activity and report performance using CRM tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of sales experience in building automation, HVAC controls, energy management, or related field.
- Solid understanding of BAS platforms such as Tridium, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar.
- Proven ability to close complex technical sales and negotiate contracts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and control sequences.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
