Position Overview
As a Service Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our clients’ building automation systems. From remote support and technical troubleshooting to interface design and control system programming, you’ll be hands-on with multiple facets of BAS technology. You’ll develop control design packages, I/O listings, system sequences, and customized programming to ensure peak performance and user-friendly operation for each project.
Key Responsibilities

Provide remote and onsite technical support for existing BAS customers.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to BAS hardware, software, and network configurations.

Design, program, and test building automation system additions and modifications.

Develop graphical user interfaces and custom dashboards for intuitive client interaction.

Create detailed controls design documents using CAD software and Visio.

Produce system input/output lists, product selection specs, and operational sequences.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure successful system deployment.

Maintain clear documentation and system records for each project and service event.
Required Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma required; technical degree or coursework in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Automation Engineering strongly preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with at least one BAS or scientific programming language (e.g., Niagara, Tridium, BACnet, Modbus, or similar).

Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems, databases, and network protocols.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in a technical environment.

Clear, effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Comfort using laptops, tablets, smartphones, and mobile diagnostics tools.
