Job Title: Building Automation Technician
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Automation Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS) that control HVAC, lighting, security, and other integrated systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with control systems, strong technical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining energy-efficient and high-performance building operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, program, and commission building automation systems including HVAC, lighting, and security controls.

Perform regular system inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal operation.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to control systems and related components.

Integrate and calibrate system components including sensors, actuators, and controllers.

Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and building management teams to plan and implement BAS projects.

Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, service logs, and modifications.

Ensure systems comply with building codes, energy standards, and safety regulations.

Provide end-user training and support for building automation interfaces.

Stay updated on new technologies, industry trends, and energy efficiency practices.
Qualifications:
Required:

Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.

2+ years of experience working with BAS systems (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider Electric).

Understanding of networking principles and protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).

Proficiency with tools and software used for BAS programming and diagnostics.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:

Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Schneider EcoStruxure, etc.).
