Job Title: Building Automation Account Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Building Automation Account Manager to join our team. This role focuses on selling plan/spec projects within the building automation sector. The ideal candidate will manage a small book of existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts and key stakeholders.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new plan/spec project opportunities within the territory.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and bids for building automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, and project management) to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Achieve first-year sales volume of $500,000 – $1,000,000.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in CRM tools.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related technical sales.
  • Strong understanding of plan/spec project processes and bidding cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
