Role Overview
This role is ideal for a technically oriented Project Manager who leads projects through collaboration, systems knowledge, and execution—not heavy financial administration. You will oversee building automation and energy management projects from kickoff through closeout, working closely with engineers, technicians, and clients to ensure high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple building automation and energy management projects simultaneously
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate engineering, programming, field installation, startup, and commissioning activities
- Track schedules, milestones, and monthly billing progress
- Identify and resolve technical and execution risks
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan resources and workload
- Support strong client relationships and long-term satisfaction
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience leading or managing building automation or controls projects
- Strong technical understanding of BAS, HVAC controls, and energy management systems
- Experience coordinating engineers, technicians, and subcontractors
- Ability to manage projects independently with minimal oversight
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Background as a controls technician, project engineer, or lead systems specialist
- Experience with Niagara Framework–based systems
- Exposure to commercial, institutional, municipal, or industrial facilities
