Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Building Automation Systems (BAS) Sales Engineer to support growth across the Atlanta market. This role is ideal for a technically savvy, consultative seller who thrives at the intersection of energy management, smart building technology, and customer relationships. You will represent advanced BACnet-based energy management solutions, including HVAC, lighting, power, and access control integration, helping building owners and operators optimize performance, reduce energy costs, and improve occupant comfort.

As a BAS Sales Engineer, you will work closely with engineers, contractors, and facility stakeholders to design and sell intelligent building solutions powered by WebView by Reliable Controls and enterprise-level BACnet systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline for BAS and energy management solutions across commercial and institutional buildings
  • Engage customers in consultative sales conversations, identifying operational pain points and translating them into technical solutions
  • Design and present BAS solutions incorporating HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and access control integration
  • Promote BACnet energy management capabilities including scheduling, optimization, trending, analytics, centralized control, and remote monitoring
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate system design, pricing, and scope alignment
  • Prepare proposals, technical documentation, and ROI-based energy savings justifications
  • Maintain long-term relationships with building owners, facility managers, consulting engineers, and contractors
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client presentations within the Atlanta market

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience selling or engineering BAS, HVAC controls, or energy management solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of BACnet-based systems and building automation architectures
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Atlanta metro area

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Reliable Controls, WebView, or similar enterprise BAS platforms
  • Background in HVAC design, controls programming, or systems integration
  • Familiarity with energy analytics, central plant optimization, and enterprise scheduling strategies
  • Existing relationships with Atlanta-area engineers, contractors, or facility management groups
  • Professional certifications related to controls, energy management, or HVAC systems
