We are seeking a Building Automation Sales Representative to lead strategic growth in controls and building automation solutions across multiple sectors, including commercial, industrial, institutional, government, higher education, and public housing.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pre-qualify, and secure new business opportunities for controls and building automation solutions, including turnkey construction, design/build, and alternative financing projects
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to consistently achieve or exceed annual revenue targets
- Lead the preparation, positioning, and delivery of high-impact proposals and presentations
- Maintain full ownership of proposal development from initial concept through final submission
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading presentations and negotiations
- Demonstrate deep understanding of contract terms, technical solutions, and value propositions
- Stay current on product offerings and emerging trends in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and building systems
- Collaborate with Project Management and Operations teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Partner with internal sales teams to coordinate opportunities within municipal, education, and institutional markets
- Build and maintain long-term, high-value client relationships
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Progressive experience in controls and building automation systems sales
- Strong ability to identify customer energy needs and align solutions effectively
- Demonstrated success selling complex solutions to executive-level decision-makers
- Advanced skills in lead generation, account management, negotiation, and closing strategies
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proven ability to build and sustain positive business relationships
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
