Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Building Automation Project Manager who brings both field and management experience. This role is ideal for someone with a background in installing BAS systems who also enjoys leading projects, coordinating with teams, and ensuring successful delivery. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion while being comfortable stepping into the field when needed to support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage BAS projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability.

  • Oversee and coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects on schedule.

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and submittals to ensure alignment with customer requirements.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to installation crews in the field.

  • Participate in system installation, commissioning, programming, and troubleshooting as needed.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) installation, service, or project management.

  • Strong background in installing and commissioning BAS systems (DDC, HVAC controls, lighting controls, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.

  • Experience managing crews, subcontractors, or projects a plus.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

  • Proficiency with BAS platforms (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, or similar) preferred.

  • Willingness to work in the field as part of the project delivery team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
