Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced BAS Service Manager to lead and grow our Building Automation Systems service operations throughout the Columbus, Ohio market. This leadership role is responsible for managing service technicians, overseeing customer relationships, driving service revenue growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in building automation controls and demonstrated success leading high-performing service teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the BAS service department, supporting a team of technicians and field specialists.
- Manage service delivery for building automation systems, HVAC controls, energy management systems, and related technologies.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and government customers.
- Drive annual service revenue growth through contract renewals, service agreements, upgrades, and retrofit opportunities.
- Monitor team performance, utilization, work quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop service technicians and service coordinators.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and engineering teams to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.
- Review service financials, labor utilization reports, departmental budgets, and operational KPIs.
- Support emergency response efforts and critical customer escalations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, HVAC Technology, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of BAS, HVAC controls, or building automation experience.
- Minimum 3 years of service management or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of BAS platforms such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Distech, Tridium Niagara, or similar systems.
- Experience managing service contracts, customer relationships, and field personnel.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally throughout Central Ohio.
- Strong financial, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of BAS service leadership experience.
- Experience supporting mission-critical facilities, healthcare facilities, laboratories, or higher education campuses.
- Project management experience.
- Technical certifications related to controls, HVAC systems, networking, or energy management.
- MBA or advanced management training.
