Position Summary
We are seeking a results-oriented BAS Service Manager to oversee building automation service operations across Greater Cincinnati and surrounding markets. This individual will be responsible for service team leadership, operational performance, customer retention, and strategic business growth. The successful candidate will bring extensive knowledge of building controls systems and a proven ability to drive both customer satisfaction and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage BAS service operations serving commercial, healthcare, industrial, education, and municipal clients.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of service technicians, specialists, and service coordinators.
  • Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance, repairs, remote monitoring, system optimization, and emergency service activities.
  • Drive service agreement growth and customer retention initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with facility managers, building owners, contractors, and consulting engineers.
  • Review and manage department financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and operational metrics.
  • Oversee workforce planning, technician scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Identify opportunities for system upgrades, energy optimization, and modernization projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
  • Support sales efforts by participating in customer meetings and strategic account planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of BAS or HVAC controls industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years managing field service teams.
  • Knowledge of BAS platforms including Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara, Automated Logic, or comparable systems.
  • Experience with service contract management and departmental financial accountability.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and business development skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of building automation service leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience with energy management and sustainability programs.
  • Advanced technical certifications.
  • Lean operations or project management certification.
