Key Responsibilities
Required
- Manage commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, resources, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage project documentation, contracts, change orders, permits, and other required paperwork.
- Track project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, costs, billing, and project profitability.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients and leadership.
- Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations.
- Collaborate with operations, field teams, and leadership to drive successful project execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
- Experience managing project communications among clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage contracts, project documentation, reporting, and financial tracking.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound project-related decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Project management experience within HVAC, mechanical contracting, building controls, building automation, or similar industries.
- Experience with owner-direct commercial project environments.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, procurement, and contract administration.
- Experience leading multiple concurrent projects.
- Candidates willing to relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina.
