Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and technically savvy BAS Account Executive to join our growing team. This role is a unique hybrid of account management and business development, responsible for both nurturing existing client relationships and proactively generating new business opportunities within the building automation and controls space.
You’ll work directly with executive leadership to expand market share, manage key customer accounts, and drive revenue growth across a diverse range of projects—from $50K installations to multi-million-dollar enterprise engagements. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing BAS/controls clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and market development
- Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, facility managers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Prepare accurate project quotes, proposals, and bid submissions for BAS solutions
- Collaborate closely with leadership and technical teams to align sales strategy with operational execution
- Drive year-over-year revenue growth through consistent pipeline development and deal closure
- Engage in both owner-direct sales and contractor-driven opportunities, with a preference toward owner-direct relationships
- Maintain a strong understanding of BAS technologies (e.g., Niagara platform) and industry trends
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in outside sales, account management, or business development within BAS, HVAC controls, or related industries
- Proven track record of sales success and measurable revenue growth (year-over-year performance preferred)
- Experience managing client relationships while simultaneously developing new business
- Ability to independently prospect, generate leads, and close deals
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with working on projects ranging from $50,000 to $2M+ in value
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in building automation systems or related technical field
- Hands-on or technical background in BAS (e.g., controls technician, project engineer, or similar)
- Experience with Niagara (Tridium) platform or similar BAS front-end systems
- Established network within the local market
- Experience selling direct-to-owner as well as working with subcontractors and mechanical contractors
- Demonstrated ability to “hit the ground running” with existing industry relationships
