Position Overview:
We are seeking a Account Executive with expertise in Building Automation Systems (BAS). This role focuses on strategically marketing and promoting integrated building automation, energy conservation, and renewable technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BAS, HVAC controls, and performance contracting, with proven success in municipal or K-12 markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies targeting building automation and energy efficiency opportunities.
- Identify, qualify, and secure prospects for BAS upgrades, performance contracts, and turnkey energy projects.
- Lead client presentations and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design BAS solutions that optimize energy performance.
- Oversee proposal development, ensuring technical accuracy and customer-focused solutions.
- Analyze building systems to identify energy savings opportunities through automation and controls integration.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and technology partners.
- Manage regional sales pipeline and forecast revenue growth.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or energy efficiency sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven ability to develop and close multi-million-dollar BAS and energy performance projects.
- Strong understanding of BAS platforms, HVAC retrofit strategies, and energy management systems.
- Financial acumen to present cash-flow models and structured financing solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with energy analysis software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with municipal, K-12, or public sector clients.
- Knowledge of distributed generation, renewable technologies, and smart building solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
