We are seeking a high-performing Outside Sales Account Manager to build strategic relationships, identify new opportunities, and guide customers toward impactful building automation and controls solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a field-based, relationship-driven environment with strong technical engagement and unlimited earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with contractors, consulting engineers, facility teams, owners, and end users
- Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities for building automation and controls integration projects
- Lead consultative sales conversations focused on customer goals, site conditions, budgets, and timelines
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, operations, and field teams to develop scopes and proposals
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and consistent follow-up activity
- Represent the organization in client meetings, site visits, coordination meetings, and industry events

Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of B2B outside sales experience in a technical or commercial environment
- Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and close opportunities
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills
- Willingness and ability to travel within assigned territory
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical solutions and communicate them effectively
Preferred:
- Experience in building automation, HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical systems, construction, facility services, or energy services
- Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience working with contractors, engineers, or facility stakeholders
