Position Summary: The Sales Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue growth by developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and delivering building automation and HVAC controls solutions. This role works closely with customers, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and support successful project execution while achieving established sales and profitability goals.

Responsibilities & Core Competencies

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, facility managers, consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and industry partners.

  2. Identify, qualify, and pursue new building automation, HVAC controls, and energy management opportunities to achieve sales and gross margin objectives.

  3. Maintain an active sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, customer engagement, and market awareness.

  4. Understand customer needs, project requirements, and facility challenges to develop effective technical solutions.

  5. Possess a working knowledge of HVAC systems, control strategies, building automation systems (BAS/BMS), and open communication protocols including BACnet and Modbus.

  6. Review project plans, specifications, and sequences of operation to identify opportunities and develop accurate project scopes.

  7. Prepare estimates, proposals, RFP responses, budgets, and change orders while ensuring project documentation is accurate and complete.

  8. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to support successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

  9. Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills while serving as a trusted advisor to customers.

  10. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive activity, and best practices within the building automation and HVAC industries.

  11. Effectively manage customer relationships, sales activities, forecasts, and business development efforts with a high degree of professionalism, accountability, and integrity.
