Job Title: BAS Project Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Project Manager to lead controls projects throughout the Fort Myers and Southwest Florida markets. This individual will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from project kickoff through commissioning and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in HVAC controls, building automation systems, and project management, along with the leadership skills to coordinate customers, subcontractors, technicians, and internal teams.
Required Responsibilities
- Manage multiple BAS installation and retrofit projects simultaneously.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Coordinate technicians, programmers, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project milestones.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor project costs, labor utilization, and profitability.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Ensure successful startup, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Identify and manage project risks, change orders, and customer expectations.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- BAS, HVAC controls, or automation project management experience.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, and building automation technologies.
- Experience managing commercial construction or retrofit projects.
- Ability to read and interpret control drawings, specifications, and mechanical plans.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing project budgets and schedules.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Southwest Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Tridium Niagara, or similar BAS platforms.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with healthcare, education, municipal, industrial, or commercial office facilities.
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and IP-based control networks.
- Prior experience managing projects valued between $100,000 and $5 million.
