Position Overview
The DDC Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and finalizing Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and building automation projects in accordance with defined specifications, schedules, and budgets. This role oversees projects from initiation through completion while maintaining strict quality control standards and delivering exceptional customer service. The Project Manager leads project teams, manages field personnel and subcontractors, mitigates risk, and ensures successful project execution across multiple simultaneous projects.

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, implement, and finalize DDC and building automation projects according to scope, schedule, and budget requirements
  • Maintain full ownership of project performance, including cost control, scheduling, and risk management
  • Oversee quality control throughout the entire project lifecycle while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Set clear goals and objectives for project teams and manage performance accordingly
  • Manage field staff and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution
  • Lead project meetings, coordinate with subcontractors, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Track project budgets, monitor costs, and manage financial performance through project closeout
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful and timely completion
  • Support material handling activities as required, including loading, unloading, and staging equipment

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) project management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of building construction trades
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience with project budgets, cost tracking, and financial accountability
  • Strong comprehension of construction plans and specifications
  • Experience leading project meetings and coordinating subcontractors
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and people management skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and weekends as required
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, twisting, standing for extended periods, and climbing stairs and ladders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Distech, Siemens, Trend, and other Tridium-based control systems
  • Advanced knowledge of integrated building automation systems across multiple platforms
