About the Role
We are seeking a driven, technically strong Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Technician to support our growing portfolio of commercial and industrial clients. In this role, you will bring environments to life—programming, integrating, and servicing the intelligent systems that keep buildings operating efficiently, safely, and comfortably. You’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring seamless system performance while delivering an exceptional client experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
System & Technical Execution 

  • Performs a variety of technical functions including programming, integration, system startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of BAS and HVAC controls.
  • Creates accurate project record documents and delivers effective owner training.
  • Travels to local job sites regularly, including active construction environments and outdoor conditions.

Client Engagement & Communication 

  • Ensures client expectations are consistently met and often exceeded.
  • Takes a lead role in building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Maintains open communication with clients and project managers to keep workflows smooth and well-coordinated.

Process & Safety Compliance 

  • Reinforces safe work practices and ensures adherence to all company safety requirements.
  • Assists in developing and improving internal processes, procedures, and related tools.

Physical Requirements 

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and maintain adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Able to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 3+ years of HVAC/R controls or service experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Basic technological proficiency, including iPad usage.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, electricity, and HVAC mechanical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and programming building controls and servicing HVAC systems.
  • Previous hands-on experience with major BAS platforms such as Automated Logic, Alerton, Delta, Distech, Reliable, Computrol, JCI, Siemens, Trane, or Tridium (AX or N4).

Preferred:

  • Tridium AX or N4 certification.
  • Experience with open protocols such as BACnet, LON, or Modbus.
  • Previous experience using Visio and AutoCAD for system documentation and visualization.
