What You’ll Do as a Building Automation Technician
As a Building Automation Technician, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) for a variety of HVAC and integrated control projects. You will support project execution by writing control sequences, developing graphics, and ensuring systems operate to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop project-specific BAS software and graphical user interfaces using company standards

Write, compile, test, and install control application programs for HVAC and integrated building systems

Interpret mechanical/electrical plans and hardware designs to develop control sequences

Support commissioning engineers during system startup and functional testing

Interface with third-party vendors to integrate various building systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.)

Utilize and contribute to standard software libraries and programming templates

Provide technical support to the Service Department on controls-related issues

Document system programming, configurations, and testing procedures
Who You Are
You are a detail-oriented and collaborative controls technician with strong programming skills and a passion for smart building technology.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience programming Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems

Proficient in building automation platforms (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls, etc.)

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, temperature control logic, and integrated systems

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, and CAD tools used in BAS design

Familiarity with network protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks

Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and develop sequences of operation

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to manage individual tasks independently

Knowledge of construction and mechanical systems is a plus
