Position Overview
As a Building Automation Technician in our Controls Division, you’ll be a key driver in installing, programming, and servicing advanced building automation systems. You’ll work side-by-side with our mechanical and controls teams to deliver solutions that maximize performance, comfort, and energy efficiency for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install control wiring, controllers, sensors, and system software.
- Diagnose and repair complex electronic and control system malfunctions.
- Manage assigned work to ensure professional execution, ethical service delivery, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provide training to customers on electronic control system operation.
- Support and train mechanical staff on building automation systems.
- Perform programming, commissioning, and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems.
- Execute additional tasks related to building automation technology as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
- Understanding of typical HVAC systems: boilers, chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, terminal equipment, etc.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Proficiency with PCs and capability to program HVAC-related software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with building automation platforms such as Tridium, Carrier, Metasys, Trane, or similar systems.
- Exposure to design or commissioning of integrated building systems.
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles.
