About the Role
We are seeking a Controls Technician / Programmer to join a growing mechanical services organization. This position involves programming, installing, servicing, and integrating building automation systems. It offers significant growth potential, including the opportunity to advance into management as the controls division expands.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC controls, building automation, or a related technical field
- Ability to program control systems from scratch (not just modify existing programs)
- Strong understanding of integration protocols such as BACnet and Modbus
- Willingness to travel within a defined regional service territory
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with graphics interface development for control systems
- Familiarity with multiple product lines and advanced troubleshooting
- Desire for continuous learning and staying current with industry updates
- Previous experience in a mechanical contracting environment
Key Responsibilities
- Program, install, and service building automation systems
- Perform system integration and calibration for client facilities
- Collaborate with the controls manager and mechanical team to deliver turnkey solutions
- Provide technical support and training for junior technicians
- Participate in client meetings and ensure high-quality customer service

- Base Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 annually (depending on experience)
