We are a Union commercial HVAC contractor with over five decades of experience planning, designing, fabricating, installing, and servicing high-quality comfort systems across Southeast Michigan. We specialize in design-build and plan + spec projects, rooftop unit installations, commercial HVAC service and repairs, preventative maintenance programs, and advanced building automation through i-Vu systems.

Position Summary
The HVAC Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with commercial customers while driving service, repair, retrofit, and replacement revenue throughout the Detroit market. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, coordinating closely with service technicians, project managers, estimators, and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and profitable growth.

This position is ideal for a relationship driven professional who understands commercial HVAC systems, thrives in a fast-paced service environment, and enjoys being a trusted advisor to building owners and facility managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial HVAC service accounts throughout Southeast Michigan
  • Develop long-term customer relationships by understanding facility needs, budgets, and operational priorities
  • Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance agreements, rooftop unit replacements, system upgrades, and energy efficient solutions
  • Generate and present proposals for repairs, capital replacements, retrofits, and service agreements
  • Coordinate closely with service managers, technicians, and project teams to ensure scope, pricing, and timelines are met
  • Actively prospect new commercial customers through referrals, networking, and market outreach
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales activity reporting
  • Represent Alliance Mechanical professionally at job sites, customer meetings, and industry events
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem resolution

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC sales, service sales, or account management
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units and mechanical services
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Detroit/Southeast Michigan area

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling HVAC service agreements, preventative maintenance programs, or retrofit projects
  • Union commercial HVAC background
  • Familiarity with design-build or plan + spec project environments
  • Experience working with building automation systems such as i-Vu
  • CRM experience and basic estimating or proposal development skills
