Job Title: Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager (Mechanical / HVAC)

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to serve as a dedicated on-site representative supporting large mechanical construction projects throughout the Denver Metro area. This role is intentionally designed to remove administrative and documentation burdens from senior Project Managers so they can focus on execution, labor, and schedule.
ou will be embedded directly at active job sites, often within water and wastewater treatment facilities, acting as the central connection between the field, project management, and documentation teams. Your work will ensure projects stay compliant, organized, and moving forward as reporting and paperwork requirements continue to increase across the industry.

Key Responsibilities
Required
- Maintain a consistent on-site presence at assigned job sites, including projects that require full-time site coverage
- Prepare and manage daily job reports, field documentation, and site logs
- Support commissioning documentation and job closeout paperwork as projects progress
- Coordinate RFIs by gathering field input, drafting documentation, and routing to Project Managers for review and submission
- Identify day-to-day job-site issues and communicate findings clearly to Project Managers for resolution
- Work closely with the internal document coordinator to support submittals, O&Ms, and compliance tracking
- Use Bluebeam daily for drawing review, markups, and document control
- Utilize Microsoft Office 365 tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
Preferred
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and attendance at job-site or GC meetings
- Support multiple projects remotely when site demands allow
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Navisworks, Procore, or FieldWire
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems sufficient to recognize correct versus incorrect field installations
- Experience in mechanical construction, HVAC projects, building automation, or related MEP environments
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation accurately
- Clear and professional communication skills for coordinating between field personnel, subcontractors, and Project Managers
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Background as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or trade professional transitioning off the tools
- Experience supporting industrial projects, particularly water or wastewater treatment facilities
Projects You’ll Support
- Industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities ranging from lift stations to full-scale plants
- Mechanical systems including air handling units, heat pumps, make-up air units, and fans
- Retrofit and upgrade projects within active industrial environments
