Overview
We are expanding our Columbus-based HVAC Service Sales team and seeking an experienced, results-driven Account Executive to join our growing organization.

This opportunity is ideal for a proven sales professional with experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical services, plumbing, electrical services, or related technical service industries. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, commercially driven, technically knowledgeable, and skilled at managing opportunities from initial discovery through close and seamless handoff to operations.

In this role, you will manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial customers while actively developing new business across the Columbus market. You will work directly with building owners, facility managers, contractors, and key decision-makers to identify service needs, deliver tailored solutions, and support long-term building performance and reliability.

This is more than a traditional sales role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers solve real operational challenges and aligning them with service solutions including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, service agreements, repairs, upgrades, and project-based work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, grow, and strengthen existing commercial customer relationships 
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory 
  • Build strong relationships with building owners, facility managers, contractors, and key stakeholders 
  • Conduct site visits to assess equipment condition, system performance, and service needs 
  • Develop proposals, scopes of work, and service recommendations 
  • Identify opportunities for service agreements, repairs, upgrades, and project-based solutions 
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting 
  • Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through negotiation, close, and handoff 
  • Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment 
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-through with customers 
  • Represent the organization with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset

Qualifications
Required:

  • Successful B2B sales experience in a related technical field (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, facilities services, or similar)
  • Proven ability to manage accounts, develop new business, and close commercial sales opportunities
  • Experience selling service agreements, repair services, or project-based technical solutions
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage territory, pipeline, and priorities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with CRM systems, forecasting tools, and pipeline management
  • Prior experience working closely with service, operations, or technical teams
  • Familiarity with commercial building systems and lifecycle planning
