Position Overview
The Vice President of Business Development will lead the growth strategy in the HVAC and mechanical contracting market. This executive role is responsible for driving revenue expansion, building strategic partnerships, and positioning us as a premier provider of high-performance HVAC solutions. The VP will develop and execute go-to-market strategies, oversee complex sales processes, and align cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for HVAC and mechanical services.
- Identify and penetrate new markets, including performance contracting, sustainability, and energy efficiency sectors.
- Drive our presence in large-scale commercial and industrial projects.

Sales Leadership & Revenue Generation
- Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a consultative selling culture.
- Establish KPIs, forecasting tools, and performance metrics to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded.
- Negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts and manage executive-level client relationships.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Messaging
- Create compelling value propositions, marketing campaigns, and executive briefing tools.
- Modernize sales processes using data analytics, AI-driven insights, and CRM optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Partnership Development
- Build strategic alliances with mechanical and electrical contractors, energy service companies, and technology partners.
- Represent our brand at industry events, trade associations, and client advisory boards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
- Progressive leadership experience in HVAC, mechanical contracting, or energy services.
- Proven track record of scaling revenue and leading organizational transformation.
- Expertise in performance contracting, sustainability solutions, and consultative sales.
- Strong financial acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to manage complex projects.
- Familiarity with AI tools, CRM systems (Salesforce), and data-driven decision-making.
