Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and supporting high?quality HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial projects. This role collaborates closely with sales, project management, and field teams to assess customer needs, perform site evaluations, engineer customized solutions, and ensure each project meets performance and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop fully engineered mechanical and HVAC solutions.
- Conduct site surveys to assess customer needs, existing systems, and project constraints.
- Design and develop customized mechanical system solutions aligned with performance and operational requirements.
- Present and review mechanical system design recommendations with internal teams and customers.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to project managers and field technicians throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, with a focus on commercial or industrial systems.
- Experience performing heating and cooling load calculations.
- Proficiency in CAD and drafting software for mechanical system layout and design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or active progress toward licensure.
- Experience with energy modeling tools or building efficiency analysis.
- Exposure to building controls or automation systems.
- Experience with complex environments such as healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
