Job Title: Building Automation Account Manager

Position Overview:
The Building Automation Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers while driving sales of building automation solutions and services. This role focuses on identifying client needs, proposing customized solutions, and managing the sales cycle from prospecting to close.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage strategic relationships with building owners, facility managers, contractors, engineers, and consultants.

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in target verticals (e.g., healthcare, education, commercial real estate).

Promote and sell building automation solutions including HVAC controls, energy management systems, integration platforms, and analytics tools.

Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and technical solutions tailored to customer requirements.

Work closely with internal engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.

Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

3–5 years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related sales roles.

Proven ability to sell technical or engineered systems solutions.

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls integration, and energy management.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated and results-driven with strong organizational skills.

Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of major BAS platforms (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, etc.)

Experience working with design-build contractors, consulting engineers, or facility managers.

Technical background or certifications in controls or HVAC systems.
