Job Title: HVAC Controls Specialist/Programmer

Overview
We are actively seeking skilled DDC System Programmers to join our growing Building Management System (BMS) Automation Service Line. This is a key role responsible for the technical success of our building automation projects, ensuring HVAC systems are properly controlled, visually represented, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and test line code DDC programs to control all HVAC systems per project scope and specifications.

Design and implement user interface graphics for front-end user interaction with building systems.

Configure system networks, including controller integration and communication paths (BACnet, LON, etc.).

Provide on-site and remote support to field teams for programming-related issues and assist in troubleshooting system performance problems.

Support Test and Balance (TAB) efforts, working closely with TAB contractors and technicians to verify system operation and commissioning.

Ensure smooth and successful project turnover by participating in end-user training and addressing final system adjustments.

Maintain documentation for code, graphics, and network configurations for client reference and future support.
Qualifications

2+ years of experience programming DDC systems for building automation.

Hands-on experience with BMS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Facility Explorer, or similar.

Proficiency in HVAC control strategies and sequences of operation.

Experience designing intuitive and functional graphical user interfaces for BAS.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and customers.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols used in BAS (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LON).
Preferred Qualifications

Certification or training in Niagara (AX or N4) or related DDC platforms.

Familiarity with project commissioning and TAB processes.

Experience with integration of third-party systems (lighting, access, metering).
