Building Automation/Electrical Estimator – Commercial Construction

Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will:

Prepare accurate electrical construction cost estimates and written proposals.

Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, civil, and architectural drawings.

Perform detailed electrical take-offs and assist with bid preparation and delivery.

Attend pre-bid meetings and assess job site conditions when required.

Work closely with the preconstruction manager to develop bid strategies.

Maintain contact with clients and gather competitive pricing and market data.

Ensure use of the most current project drawings and documentation.

Participate in internal and external project meetings and continuing education.

Assist in evaluating contract scope, exclusions, and clarifications.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.

6+ years of field experience in electrical construction or 2+ years of estimating experience.

Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Proficiency in construction estimating software (Trimble Enterprise is a plus).

Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Confidence, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
