Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Programmer with hands-on experience in Tridium Niagara and KMC Controls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, integrating, and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS) to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and client satisfaction. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and test Tridium Niagara and KMC Controls building automation systems.

• Program system graphics, logic, alarms, and reports for HVAC and energy management applications.

• Integrate third-party devices and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.) into building automation platforms.

• Support commissioning and startup activities, including system validation and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

• Provide ongoing technical support, system upgrades, and modifications for existing BAS installations.

• Maintain detailed project documentation, including programming notes, sequences of operation, and as-built records.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience programming Building Automation Systems.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara Framework and KMC Controls.

• Familiarity with HVAC equipment, sequences of operation, and system integration.

• Proficiency with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex BAS issues.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and internal teams.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred but not required).

• Relevant certifications (Niagara 4, KMC Controls, etc.) highly desirable.
