Position Overview
As a Building Automation Project Manager, you will lead critical building automation projects from inception to completion. Your role includes managing timelines, budgets, cross-functional teams, and client relationships to ensure projects meet our high standards for energy savings, comfort, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership
Plan, schedule, and manage building automation projects—new builds, retrofits, and system upgrades—across commercial, educational, healthcare, retail, and institutional facilities. -
Technical Oversight
Specify, integrate, and manage systems using open-protocol platforms such as Distech Controls, Niagara 4, ASI Controls, and support protocols like LON, BACnet, IP, OPC, Modbus, and wireless systems. -
Cross-Functional Team Coordination
Work closely with engineers, designers, technicians, application developers, commissioning teams, and external partners (e.g., Service Logic) to ensure seamless implementation. -
Quality Assurance & Client Value
Ensure high-quality system performance that enables energy savings (typically 20%+ operating cost reduction, with potential utility costs savings of $0.20–$0.40/sq ft), and contribute to improving clients’ comfort, productivity, and asset value. -
Client Relationship Management
Engage clients professionally—communicate project progress, educate on system benefits, and deliver outstanding customer service to foster long-term partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Niagara Framework (Niagara 4) or Distech Controls (certified Value-Added Reseller advantage).

Experience with Johnson Controls systems highly desirable.

Proven project management experience in building automation and HVAC control environments.

Strong technical background in protocols such as BACnet, LON, OPC, Modbus.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Familiarity with remote monitoring, web-based user interfaces, and graphical system operation.

Certifications such as CEM, LEED AP, or journeyman/master electrician licensure a plus.
