Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Building Automation Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and a passion for business development. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the building automation market, with a focus on service, retrofit, and new construction projects.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Work closely with consulting engineers, contractors, and building owners to develop system solutions that meet customer needs.

Conduct site visits and assessments to gather project requirements and scope.

Prepare and deliver professional proposals, presentations, and pricing based on customer specifications and industry standards.

Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through consistent prospecting, networking, and follow-up.

Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to execution.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote our brand and services.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or a related field.

Proven track record of business development and consistently exceeding sales goals.

In-depth knowledge of BAS technologies such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and how they integrate with BAS.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated with a hunter mindset and ability to work independently.

Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital collaboration tools.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
