BAS Sales Engineer – Tampa Florida

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Building Automation Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and a passion for business development. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the building automation market, with a focus on service, retrofit, and new construction projects.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.

  • Work closely with consulting engineers, contractors, and building owners to develop system solutions that meet customer needs.

  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather project requirements and scope.

  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals, presentations, and pricing based on customer specifications and industry standards.

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through consistent prospecting, networking, and follow-up.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to execution.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote our brand and services.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of business development and consistently exceeding sales goals.

  • In-depth knowledge of BAS technologies such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and how they integrate with BAS.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with a hunter mindset and ability to work independently.

  • Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital collaboration tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
