Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing and strategic Service Sales Manager to lead, coach, and grow our HVAC service sales team. This role will drive the expansion of preventive maintenance, repair services, and retrofit project sales by developing new business, strengthening existing client relationships, and executing a focused go-to-market strategy.
As the key liaison between clients, the service team, and executive leadership, this manager will play a vital role in ensuring sales performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development
    • Prospect, qualify, and secure new BAS opportunities within your territory.
    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with commercial, industrial, or institutional clients.
    • Generate compelling proposals and cost/benefit analyses for BAS solutions.
  • Technical Applications & Support
    • Interpret MEP drawings, HVAC schematics, and building control diagrams to design tailored automation solutions.
    • Provide technical input on control sequences, programming, and equipment specs.
    • Deliver demos, conduct site visits, and analyze facility systems for retrofit or upgrade recommendations.
  • Project Coordination & Follow?Through
    • Manage sales process using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
    • Coordinate bids, quotations, and purchase order processes.
    • Collaborate with internal engineering, installation, and operations teams to ensure project success.
  • Market Awareness & Compliance
    • Stay current on BAS, IoT, BACnet, Modbus, ASHRAE, and building codes.
    • Leverage energy incentive programs to craft value-driven proposals.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Controls, or Business (or equivalent experience).
    • 2–5 years of technical sales in HVAC controls or BAS, consulting, or systems integration.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient reading and interpreting HVAC, electrical, and BAS systems drawings.
    • Working experience with BAS protocols and platforms (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, DDC, IoT integrations).
  • Sales & Soft Skills
    • Strong customer-facing skills, including presentations, negotiation, and consultative selling.
    • Organized with exceptional follow-through, able to manage pipeline and forecast.
    • Comfortable working independently and traveling locally for client meetings and site visits.
  • Preferred Credentials
    • Certifications such as LEED AP, CEM, or BAS control vendor training.
    • Prior experience with manufacturers like Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Siemens, etc.
