Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer Building Automation Systems (BAS) for HVAC, lighting, and integrated building systems using platforms such as Tridium, Honeywell, Alerton, or Siemens.

  • Develop control system architecture, including control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and sequence of operations.

  • Use software tools like AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio to create technical documentation and schematics.

  • Program and configure DDC controllers, sensors, and interface devices to meet project specifications and energy efficiency goals.

  • Collaborate with project managers, sales engineers, and field technicians to ensure system functionality from design through commissioning.

  • Provide technical support during installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.

  • Ensure all control system designs comply with relevant codes, safety standards, and ASHRAE guidelines.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal engineering standards and best practices.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create high-performance, energy-efficient building automation solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2+ years of experience in building automation system design and controls programming.

  • Proficiency with BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Siemens, or Alerton is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, control theory, energy management, and DDC systems.

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, and building automation programming tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Familiarity with energy-efficient building practices and green building certifications (LEED, WELL, etc.) is a plus.
