Position Overview – Commercial HVAC BIM Designer

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC BIM Designer with advanced proficiency in Revit, SysQue, and Navisworks to join our Florida-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed 3D HVAC models, coordinating with multiple trades, and ensuring compliance with Florida mechanical codes. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality HVAC design and installation drawings that support our commercial construction and retrofit projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise 3D HVAC system models using Revit, SysQue, and Navisworks.

• Coordinate and integrate trade models to eliminate clashes before construction.

• Conduct clash detection and collaborate with design teams to resolve conflicts.

• Maintain updated BIM models and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare detailed HVAC fabrication and installation drawings for field teams.

• Ensure models meet industry standards, project specifications, and the BIM Execution Plan.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and field staff to meet project requirements.

• Provide technical support for existing projects and field services.

• Attend BIM coordination meetings, project turnover meetings, and site visits as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on-site daily for close team collaboration.

• Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC BIM modeling (pipe and duct systems, chilled/condenser water systems) or related field.

• Proficiency in Revit, SysQue, and Navisworks required.

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and Florida mechanical codes.

• Autodesk Revit certification preferred.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
