Position Summary
The HVAC Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major HVAC and mechanical construction projects (including installations, HVAC/power rentals, mechanical service contracts) for our Mechanical & HVAC division. This role will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors and clients to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet our high quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed project plans for HVAC/mechanical construction and rental projects: scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, subcontractor procurement.

Lead project kickoff and coordinate all phases of work (pre-construction planning, permitting, procurement, installation, commissioning, turnover).

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders and subcontractors. Maintain excellent communication, anticipate risks, drive timely decisions.

Manage project budgets: monitor cost performance, change orders, cash flow, procurement, invoicing and project close-out.

Work closely with our internal divisions (mechanical service, building automation, electrical, plumbing, rentals) to ensure project coordination, hand-off, and integration.

Ensure compliance with company safety standards, code/permit requirements and industry best practices.

Drive quality control: enforce workmanship standards, document inspections, commissioning, and project documentation.

Foster a team-oriented environment: mentor junior staff, collaborate across departments, support our training culture.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and technology adoption in project execution.

Report project status regularly to senior management: schedule, budget, risk, milestones, and corrective actions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience in HVAC, mechanical construction or building-systems environments.

Demonstrated experience managing large HVAC/mechanical projects (installation, rental systems, service contracts) from concept to close-out.

Strong budgeting, scheduling and cost-control skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with clients, internal teams and subcontractors effectively.

Technical proficiency in HVAC equipment, controls, building automation integration is highly desirable.

Proven leadership ability and comfort working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment (consistent with our culture).

Self-motivated, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to job sites and client locations as needed.
