Job Title: HVAC Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets (commercial, institutional, industrial) within your territory.

  • Build relationships with consultants (architects/engineers), building owners/operators, mechanical contractors and facilities teams.

  • Present our solutions — including HVAC equipment, custom engineered systems, parts & aftermarket services, building automation – and demonstrate ROI, lifecycle cost benefits and performance gains.

  • Develop and deliver formal sales proposals, quote packages and contract agreements; negotiate terms and close deals.

  • Manage and grow an existing account portfolio: drive expansions, renewals, service/parts upsells, maintenance agreements.

  • Work cross?functionally with internal teams (engineering, technical service, parts logistics, operations) to ensure seamless solution delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecast revenue, track activity in CRM. Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.

  • Stay current on HVAC market trends, manufacturer product lines, regulatory/energy incentive programs and competitor offerings.

  • Travel as required within territory, attend industry events, site visits and customer meetings.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven sales experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, building automation or related commercial/industrial equipment (minimum 3-5 years preferred).

  • Strong hunter attitude: ability to generate leads, create opportunities and close deals.

  • Ability to engage at multiple levels of a client organization: technical (engineers, maintenance), operational (facility managers), and executive (owners/asset managers).

  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems / mechanical equipment / building automation or willingness to learn quickly.

  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable with CRM tools, Microsoft Office suite and proposal quoting tools.

  • Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel throughout territory.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred (mechanical engineering, business or related field a plus) but not required if strong sales track record.
