Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing and strategic Service Sales Manager to lead, coach, and grow our HVAC service sales team. This role will drive the expansion of preventive maintenance, repair services, and retrofit project sales by developing new business, strengthening existing client relationships, and executing a focused go-to-market strategy.
As the key liaison between clients, the service team, and executive leadership, this manager will play a vital role in ensuring sales performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the HVAC service sales team to meet or exceed sales targets for contracts, repairs, and upgrades
- Develop and execute strategic plans for market expansion and customer acquisition in commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors
- Identify new business opportunities and key accounts for growth in areas such as IAQ, energy retrofits, and smart building controls
- Coach and mentor sales executives on solution-based selling, estimating service value, and building trusted client relationships
- Coordinate with operations and service departments to ensure smooth delivery of contracted services and customer satisfaction
- Oversee the proposal process, including pricing strategy, scope development, and presentation of customized HVAC service solutions
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and sales metrics to drive improvements and identify new revenue streams
- Maintain CRM accuracy and use data to forecast sales, report pipeline status, and track team performance
- Represent us at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of successful experience in HVAC service sales, including team leadership or sales management
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, building automation, IAQ, energy conservation, and service agreement structure
- Proven ability to develop strategic sales plans and drive execution through a team
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Analytical and goal-driven mindset with a strong focus on customer value
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred
