Job Title: HVAC Sales Representative

Position Summary

As an HVAC Service Sales Representative, you’ll be the face of our service division—building relationships, diagnosing customer needs, and proposing solutions that align with their facilities’ HVAC systems. You’ll combine technical knowledge with sales acumen to grow our service revenue and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit commercial and industrial customers to assess their HVAC equipment, controls, maintenance history, and service needs

  • Perform system walk-throughs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend upgrades, retrofits, or maintenance plans

  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts that are technically accurate and financially compelling

  • Work closely with the service / technical teams to scope jobs, schedule work, and follow through to ensure deliverables and timelines are met

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (facility managers, operations directors, etc.)

  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

  • Track leads, opportunities, and sales pipeline in the CRM system

  • Stay current on HVAC technologies, controls, energy-saving solutions, and market trends

  • Support company marketing efforts (e.g., customer events, calls, campaigns) to generate leads

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, controls, controls logic, and energy-efficiency solutions

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to translate technical features into customer benefits

  • Confidence interacting with C-level executives and facility operations teams

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized—with the ability to manage time and territories effectively

  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of direct sales or business development experience in HVAC, controls, mechanical contracting, or related industries

  • Hands-on or technical background in HVAC or controls preferred (e.g. prior service tech or controls experience)

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field is a plus (or equivalent experience)

  • Valid driver’s license (travel required within sales territory)
